Reflections on the last year of our Web Studio – part 2

Hi folks, as I wrote in Part 1 – it has been a while again... the reason for that was lockdown and lack of proper mood due to deficiency of work. 

Due to covid-19 and lockdown we lost two clients last year: one decided to retire earlier (he has no orders as well), second client decided to use grand with local company (understandable and fair enough). 

However, once lockdown restrictions were eased during the year, we have done some small and bigger projects (just two of them in entire year – so this is a huge covid-19 impact), and here it is an update from April 2020 to April 2021. 

 I have posted what was done in first part of the year here > 

1. We have waited almost a year since we started this project, but after restrictions were eased we could complete it. The new website was developed for a Glasgow based company: Express Pipework Systems Ltd. The design was based on previous Express Pipework Systems Ltd website’s design; however, with a lot of improvements, and most importantly: the website is now responsive.

3. In December we redesigned the Twisted Willow Florist website due to changes to target audience – yes, due to recent covid19 circumstances, some of small businesses need to revise their strategies. So what’s new:
   • a new flowers gallery is added, also galleries with handmade soaps and bespoke flower hoops
   • the bespoke bouquets for variety of occasion can be either collected from Caroline’s store or delivered by her to the recipients

5. Recently we redesigned completely The Rollin Pig BBQ & Street Food website!
   The Rollin Pig is family run, local business for most of you well known from their fabulous hog roast that was available to buy on different events and food festivals around.
   Due to restriction The Rollin Pig decided to change their approach and now they serve all their delicious meals at The Yard @ Ann Street Johnstone and also deliver to your door.
   • They care about QUALITY, Scotland and support local businesses.
   • Their products and meats are also from local butchers, producers etc.
   • They do everything in the house – so no processed food, no preservatives.
   • They also use Paisley Eats app instead off other popular but not local apps.

6. We have also updated 1st Pass Driving School website – the lessons are reassumed again, and they use new app for pupils, very user friendly and useful.

7. And our last update was Troon Personal Trainer website. Paul who is qualified trainer now offers boot camps near the Troon beach, so the website is updated.

So, just two bigger projects in more then year time schedule due to covid and restrictions...
Some medium and most of them small updates we have done over this year too. 

However, as I pointed it out in the part 1 of this posts, we finally redesigned our own website. 

We also have issued a few email campaigns to promote our own business as well as our clients’ businesses, and we are willing to continue to do so.

VUE revamped and new logo designed - so excited.

I quick update, because lately we have had a lot of work to do.

Website Design and Development

As you know we have lately designed either redesigned websites. Acorn Carpet Cleaning was redesigned and brand new developed such as The GARAGE Abbeymill, and the latest: A60 Marine Spares Ltd.

The A60 Marine Spares Ltd. website is fully responsive and we have promoted this website all other our social media lately. The website was also included in our latest newsletter >
A60 Marine Spares Ltd.  is a supplier of quality and safety critical Marine and Offshore Door Hardware.

Website Amendments:

VUE Window Blinds website has been updated. The major improvements were applied starting from banner-advert, image galleries, some photos were also replaced, and more up to date information has been added.

Baltic Firewood website is also updated, and new prices applied since a while.

Acorn Carpet Cleaning website has now a new banner that informs about donation to MS Society Scotland. For every job they do the donation of £1 will be made to this society.

Yes, we have designed LOGO for two companies: Acorn Carpet Cleaning and A60 Marine Spares Ltd. – see images.

HTML Email Campaigns

Two HTML Email Campaigns were issued in August and September. We inform about above works in our two latest newsletters. In the newsletters we also promoted our SEO clients such as:

Well, haven’t been here for a while. Yes, we had a Christmas break, but plenty of work before and after. So, here it is some update what where we up to?

We designed and developed a few email campaigns starting from the Christmas one >

VUE - Brand new website is launched, more to come...

However, one website is already live!

Vue Window Blinds website was launched last week. The website was designed & developed for a local family business based in Glasgow. 

The Vue Window Blinds offers a wide range of window blinds from vertical to roman blinds, and more over ‘Home Shop Service’ – which is very convenient way to buy a proper, made to measure blinds.

Two websites updated, mobile website developed, two email campaigns launched

A quick update what we have been up to lately. Two websites have been updated.

Viewbank website – a mobile version of the website was developed due to Google algorithm changes. The mobile version of the Viewbank website has passed mobile friendly test supported by Google. Now Viewbank - Guest House based on Isle of Arran is fully prepared for upcoming changes.

The second website was updated due to a new product offered by Baltic Firewood. Since a while people have asked about wood pellets, and Baltic Firewood decided to add this product to their offer. Wood pellets can be ordered directly via BalticFirewood website now.

I have lately sent twice an email campaign that contains very important information regarding changes in an algorithm for Google pages ranking.

Most of our clients’ websites are doing very well, because we coded for them PC & mobile version of their websites. Some of our clients still must to make some decisions in this matter.

Even so most of us do not agree with Google politics, we do not actually have any influence, so either we’ll follow their directives, either our website falls down in the ranking.

What's new at Web Studio 'Marita'?

Well it has happened quite a lot.

A few websites were updated, but one is completely renewed: new branding colours are now on FRL Property Maintenance website. Previously the website was blue, as the branding colours, but the owner decided to refresh their company, so now the brown colour is the major one. The wooden background is also added, so the final result is really nice.
FRL Property Maintenance is a local company based in Paisley - Renfrewshire  and cares about buildings & gardens maintenance.

The new email campaign was sent yesterday that promote the other local businesses.

Gramble Glass – beautiful gifts made from stained glass by Graham Muir. You may see the examples of his artwork on the website galleries. Now the third gallery is updated about Christmas gifts, so if you still do not have any original idea – this may be ideal.

The Twisted Willow Bespoke Florist website is also updated and now contains Christmas page, since is the proper time to display Christmas decorations made by bespoke florist Caroline. The beautiful, bespoke wreaths, crackers, gift bouquets and table decoration are available at Twisted Willow store in Kilbarchan.

Inverhall Marquees is also a local business based in Johnstone. They are marquee specialist in Scotland and their website was also updated.
