I have been lately in Largs, the location of which you may find on the map (see picture). I have visited a view point near Largs, so I have seen the beautifully covered by snow mountains on Isle of Arran. It looks really nice. I took some pictures by my mobile (forgot to take better camera), this time quickly transferred on my PC, so here they are (see photos below). I thought that the Isle of Arran looks beautiful from this view point near Largs. However, you must to know that a few days ago, the weather treated the Isle of Arran badly, and it was so much snow that people did not have gas, electricity, and transport for a 6 days. Some of businesses lost income at this time, for example the Guest House – Viewbank have had to cancel all bookings!
I’m pretty sure that hotels in Glasgow or guest houses, at the same time, did not experience such as bad weather conditions, and business staid safe. However, they still may experienced some inconvenience situations during bad winter weather, when for example flights to Glasgow were cancelled, and people couldn’t reach previously booked hotels on time.
Therefore, we all are waiting impatiently for a nice, lovely, sunny Spring!
PL: Zauważyłam, że każdy już czeka na wiosnę. Tak, tegoroczna zima nie traktuje nas najlepiej.
Byłam ostatnio w Largs, położenie możecie znaleźć na mapie (zobacz zdjęcie powyżej).
Odwiedziłam punkt widokowy i zobaczyłam pięknie pokryte śniegiem góry na wyspie Arran. Wyglądały naprawdę ładnie. Zrobiłam kilka zdjęć moim telefonem (zapomniałam wziąć lepszego aparatu), tym razem szybko przekopiowałam zdjęcia na komputer, więc oto one (zobacz poniżej). Pomyślałam, że wyspa Arran wygląda przepięknie z tego punktu widokowego, położonego niedaleko od Largs. Jednak musicie wiedzieć, że kilka dni temu, pogoda potraktowała wyspę Arran bardzo źle, śnieg pokrył grubą warstwą cała wyspę, ludzie nie mieli przez 6 dni gazu, energii elektrycznej i transportu. Niektóre z firm w tym czasie utraciły swoje dochody, na przykład Dom Gościnny - Viewbank musiał anulować wszystkie rezerwacje!
Jestem pewna, że hotele w Glasgow lub pensjonaty, w tym samym czasie, nie doświadczyły tak złych warunków pogodowych i biznes pozostawał bezpieczny. Jednakże, nadal mogły wystąpić pewne niedogodności w czasie złej pogody tej zimy, kiedy na przykład loty zostały odwołane, a ludzie nie mogli dostać się do wcześniej zarezerwowanych hoteli na czas.
Dlatego wszyscy czekamy niecierpliwie na miłą, piękną, słoneczną wiosnę!
